Reading Help

Help, Google Reader is going away!

I have been using Google Reader as the main way that I read blog posts.  They feed in automatically.  It's easy and works like a charm.  I use it on my iPhone as well as on my computer.

BUT, Google is shutting it down.

  1. What do you all use to read your blogs?  
  2. How do you followup on comments you have left?
  3. What do you like/dislike about your tool?

    Hi there! I just came across your blog, but I'm having the same conundrum. I love the simplicity of Google Reader and I'm dreading it's end. That being said-- I've heard a few people mention feedly. I'm still in denial mode and using Google reader until the last possible moment. :)

      hehehehe...I LOVE YOUR NAME! That alone just about made my day! Thank you so much for commenting. I appreciate your help. I am with you. I am completely in denial and WILL USE READER until it dies. Then I will be sad and eventually...find something else. UGH.

    Netvibes - follow up on comments using the "recently read" section because it tells me which posts I have read. :)

    Hi Fiona,

    I read blogs either from my blogroll or from Bonnie's. I follow lots of blogs and they automatically go to the reader, but I never read them there.

    If I want to follow up on comments I have left, I subscribe by email.

    I have switched to Feedly http://www.feedly.com It automatically switches your whole reading list from Google Reader so there's nothing you need to do once you have signed up.

      Thank you Hermione. I hate that I have to switch away from Google Reader...it has been a FABULOUS tool. I will give feedly a look. I appreciate your help in figuring out what to do next.
